Here is the patch I propose to fix this. The patch adds a check in
do_start() which scans the contents of the PID file (if it exists), and
checks that the PID belongs to a running instance of system-tools-
backends. If it does, then it exits gracefully.

Ok finally got my hands on the camera and was able to test this. Works
all perfect now. I think one of the updates to f-spot-import-
gphoto.dpatch fixed this. Anyways it works so it is no longer a problem.
Sadly there is no closed option, so I don't know what to change the

Definitely I am on for this wish too. I would love to see archive mounter work
as on OSX. Double click on iso by default mounting it and browsing it.

I have precisely the same symptoms, except I've got a Thinkpad x31
instead. Suspend works fine, unless I've docked my laptop in the
Ultrabay with the dvd drive connected. After ejecting the dock, and
attempting to resume from suspend, I get a black screen and the
inability to do anything about it.

proposed please be sure you test the 2.6.27-10 kernel that will contain

I switched from Xinerama to Twinview and the reported issues have gone
away. This isn't an ideal situation because I'm down one monitor now,
but at least my machine is usable again.

Attaching your /var/lo/Xorg.log.0 would be helpful, I had a similar
problem where xorg was not detecting my videocard properly. Specifying
the BusID of my card in /etc/X11/xorg.conf fixed the problem for me.

Losing your work because you or somebody else accidentally clicked on the power
button is a bug in my opinion. Windows for example notifies all running
applications about the shutdown so they are able to ask you whether you want to
save your work or not. All applications are be killed by initd.

If you are talking about uml-utilities.init. It does contain code to create the
directory if it does not exist.

Ok. I checked again. The bug on the gui only happens when you try to
edit the settings already in place. It does not happen when you first
create the eap network.
