Tested here to and things are still not right... DNS still not being set

Syslog attached shows initial connection attempts - an automatic one
just after logging in that failed, another one that failed, then finally

as far as i know i didn't had to reinstall the NVIDIA diver after a kernel
upgrade. So I thought that was due to the DKMS. But right now i'm confused.
I don't think Ubuntu will release the latest driver in the repos. You can wait
for envy tough.

I solved the problem by returning to rdesktop 1.5.0-3+cvs20071006ubuntu0.1

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 32bit with ati fglx drivers of ubuntu depot.
On opening gnome systeme monitor, Xorg crash completly and need a hard reboot
to retore X.
