I also had this problem with 8.04. It seems to be fixed partially in
8.10. The remaining problem is that though in 8.10, X produces a
working display, the maximum resolution allowed is 800 x 600. The
display in an Armada 7800 is capable of 1024 x 768 resolution.

Using an alternate installer of 8.10, /etc/nsswitch.conf is definitely
created. Can you confirm its absence in 8.10 or 9.04?

Same thing is happening here. The blubuntu-look appears to depend on
blubuntu-theme, which depends on gtk2-engines-ubuntulooks, and trying to
install that wants to remove human-theme, ubuntu-artwork & ubuntu-
desktop.

Just for the record, xserver-xorg-video-intel 2.5.1-1 in Debian
experimental actually did not fix the problem for me after all. It just
turned it from reliably happening upon every suspend and resume to
happening only once in a week.

Resume from suspend doesn't not work on the Mobile 4 Series
This is apparently another instance of glibc 2.8 breakage. See also
#249824. Solution is again to define _GNU_SOURCE, though I'm not sure
the best place to accomplish that.

I no longer have the ATAPI ZIP disk installed in my Ubuntu computer, and I'm
running release Hardy 8.04.1 now.I have an external USB Zip disk.I will
update this bug report after I exercise the USB Zip further.
