Mine started when I did Open With -> kpdf
(Sorry can't remember why I did that, it was working fine before)
Anyway I couldn't follow Drew's description after "If we go back to the
file associations list via Konqueror (mentioned earlier) we can see KPDF

issue of not changing resolutions is now fixed so I'm closing the bug.

Same here... After update to new kernel (2.6.27-11-generic), by x-fi
driver no longer works. It also doesn't show up in the "hardware
drivers" anymore. Haven't tried booting the old kernel but I'm sure it
will work - updating to the new kernel was basically the only thing I
did of any significance
Upstream said that DRI2 will fix this bug.
When someone is able to boot with DRI2 on jaunty, please let us know if
this is the case or not.

see if snd-hda-intel is using the same interrupt as your SD card reader.
If it is, you may be able to work around the SD card problem by adding
the line "options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1" to the bottom of your
/etc/modprobe.d/a
