The only woarkaroud that works for hardy is to remove /lib/tls directory, but
for me remains the warning in guest domains.
This is an important bug that affects an LTS distribution, so need urgently a
fix. Debian seems to be fixed in newer version of glibc.

Same problem here.
On Ubuntu Jaunty, the last upgrade produced the following error:
isc-...@niesen:~$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Reading package lists... Done

Dave, first, thanks for your list of libs; I'd like to refine the list here.
I think Matthias looked at building multiple libgcc but that didn't see to
work too well; it might not be interesting either as libgcc is meant to be a
software implementation and hence doesn't have code to use use a
I just installed this update and opted to 'Override' the settings (at
least I think that was the word).
Now I have no sudo access. My password has been flattened. Any ideas?
