A further test: I managed to finally install jaunty on my desktop machine (the
machine in b) in my previous message). Now everything seems to work fine, at
least when the synergy server is running on intrepid.

The suspend/resume works, in general. I don't remember exactly what

I can confirm this, and I think the importance should be bumped. Default
behavior should be that it uses the same head as gnome-panel does.

I can't answer your questions - this was a long, long time ago and I
eventually gave up and did a fresh install of Ibex, which fixed the
problem.
It would have been flashplugin-nonfree though.
