Thomas, can you try to determine if it is a specific profile that is
causing apparmor to fail? Your firefox one may be a good start. just
remove them one by one from the /etc/apparmor.d directory and see if
apparmor will start and stop correctly. If you find the offending
profile, please post it.
Finally, I'll note that Fedora folks haven't really been complaining about
this, so far as I know.

It seems I have a related problem with Jaunty Jackalope.
I am trying LTSP on Jaunty. The reason that I am trying Jaunty is because there
were also other errors in Gnome that stopped the Hardy and Intrepid versions
from allowing login, but those errors seem to have gone in the Jaunty verison,
