I have read through the reports marked as duplicates of this one and see
three possibly distinct issues.
1. Have to do ifconfig wifi0 up after suspend
2. ath_pci needs to be reloaded after suspend; fixed by using ath5k instead

Me too. I also hits freeze on GMA965 on last intel-GPU MacBook. Looks
like the problem does not touch only old hardwares.
