I am still having the issue with the latest Jaunty Beta 9.04 64-bit
Desktop install.
This would seem to me to be a moderate usability due to the fact it can
take upwards of 5-10 minutes to shutdown depending on the system.
In 8.10 the system would never shut down for me. Now it seems to
shutdown
I'm wondering if there is any way to get the gdm languages list issue resolved
before final jaunty release, for which apparently the time is running out.
I'm busy trying to do some last minute translations, but if there's anything i
can do to help resolve the gdm issue, please let me know.

I have experience the same problem on Ubuntu 9.04 beta on Dell 1420 with
Gigabyte GN-WI06N-RH (same chipset ,see link below) using wpa2.
What I have discovered (as far as I can tell) is that when you create
the network profile it gets "Pre-Populated" with a wireless key other
than the one you gav

The applet viewer worked earlier in the Jaunty cycle. I was using it
successfully (on amd64 architecture) and then it stopped working -
unfortunately when I first noticed it I'd not used a Java applet for a
couple of weeks so couldn't pin it down to the package update that
caused the issue.
