With a broadcom BCM4312 wireless card, the STA drivers will load, but
not the native driver. Using the "Hardware Drivers" control panel only

I used this script to try debug it:

developers failed (it does not generate an useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system

I just noticed that the bug reporter had to compile a custom kernel to
fix this issue. This is still an open bug then, as the standard install
can't suspend/resume more than once.
I also forgot to mention that mine is a clean install of Jaunty on an
AMD 64 bit 3200+ with 2 gig of ram.

Same thing happens to me on a HP Pavilion a1106n with i950G Intel
Graphics and a nVidia GeForce 6200 PCI. I think the same thing happened
when I tried a PCI voodoo3, too.
Also I know that this happens to someone with a HP Pavilion a1000n and a
PCI NVidia Verto GeForce FX 5200 card. He also says th
this is strange... for loading the modules from source you need this parameter
(which is only needed with newer thinkpads - tp_smapi uses other IO ports
then.) and after an restart you do not need it any more... strange!
However - it works!

I hate to say it, but that is wonderful news. Any chance you'd be
willing to provide the output of:

These two should help identify which wireless card and driver you're
using.
