I had this same crash a few minutes ago while trying to open konqueror.

Hi!
I've written a small C program which pops up notifications about changes in the
sound. It has two major advantages over the script here:
1) much less CPU intensive as it doesn't require executing external
applications and so on.
2) it detaches itself automatically from the controlling

should be marked as confirmed, as it is upstream. I am experiencing this
(annoying bug) which is still present in 9.04.
I work around this bug by a double tap of F9 (show, hide the sidebar)

Guys, this doesn't affect just Ubuntu, it happens on Windows machines
also.
As annoying as this bug is, it is just that... annoying. It is not
damaging to the system, and the workaround of holing the mouse button
down until the menu appears instead of pressing it quickly is hardly a
show-stopper.
I have the same problem with a lot of my iso files.
There are no spaces in my file names. I made a few tests and I always get
this error when I try to mount DVD iso's generated with k9copy.
A sudo mount -o loop -t iso9660 is working fine!

Same for me. Any recurring events from Google calender will not display
at all.
I have to enter progress logs twice a day at my work, Once at 12:00 and
again at 5:00, Monday - Friday. Because I keep my email client open all
day, I added the events to a Google Calendar to remind my self. None of

This is most likely because Swing hardcodes a list of non-parenting
window managers. If the WM is such but is not in the Swing list, bugs
will occur. This can be fixed by setting the WM name (with e.g. wmname)
to e.g. LG3D, which is on the list.

Hi
I have the same problem as described. I have tried to CTRL+ALT+F1 but it
doesnt work. The only keystroke that works is for reboot(alt+prtscr+b).
Some info if it helps:

I can confirm these findings on my Ubuntu 9.04 + Nvidia driver GeForce
8600 as well. Also not only does it reduce CPU consumption if I switch
to the nv open source drivers, but the performance increases
dramatically as well.
