on an eee pc 901. If I boot without the vga option, I can access the VTs
(Ctrl-Alt-F1 through Ctrl-Alt-F6) and login there normally. With the vga

Rhythmbox uses gstreamer for visualisation and therefore can't use any
openGL-based visualisations :(
This is an upstream problem, gstreamer needs fixing, and/or libvisual
using directly in rhythmbox, as amarok does, and/or projectm-pulse
packaging, so we can at least fire up projectm standalone!
I can confirm, that on my Dell Inspiron 2650 acpi=off boots the kernel
with 2.6.28, but the laptop cannot switch off after shutdown.

I have the same bug on my Toshiba laptop running the 9.04 live CD.
When I adjust the volume knob on the side of the laptop, gnome-settings
goes into some funky state where it continually triggers notify-osd.
Even with only a minor volume adjustment, the volume will run away to

I am having the same issue with my new Blue Snowflake mic on Ubuntu
9.04. I would love to see any kind of work around. I suspect it has to
do with Ubunt
Running "rmmod dell-laptop" and then "modprobe -i dell-laptop" fixed it.
The module was shown as running in "lsmod" before this, so I still don't
know exactly what was wrong. Either way, its fixed now.

debian/patches/series, most of the patches are commented out including

Updated one laptop from 8.10 to 9.04 yesterday. A moment ago I noticed
huge CPU usage on system monitor.
odt2txt was traversing a big directory tree. Parent process number was

Hi,
after resume from hibernate (jaunty) cursor is displayed in very strange way.
Only bottom half of cursor is displayed. Plus one pixel on the left side.
If I do a screenshot cursor displayed correctly in it.

The F-keys for the keyboard backlight work the same way like for the
display. I still feel however that they are not that _responsive_ as
they could/should.

If simply adding these 2 lines to the glipper program will solve this
issue (as someone has suggested on the Ubuntu user forums), then why
doesn't someone permanently incorporate these 2 lines or something
similar into the glipper program, so everyone that has this problem is
not having to hunt for
