LiveCD does not boot since the only CD drive the T5730 has is a USB drive -
there are no internal IDE connectors.
However the text mode installer kernel from Ubuntu 9.04 works fine and detects
all the drives - for example, in rescue mode.
I got Ununtu 9.04 installed on the built-in ATA flash.

I decided to compile gimp-gap-2.4.0 from the source tarball at gimp.org.
Using all dev packages from the repository (9.10) for gimp and other
dependencies, the build failed in file ./gap/gap_dbbrowser_utils.c line 160.

Can't completely confirm that. On my System (RV250) run with radeon-driver DRI
seems to be working. "glxinfo | grep -i opengl" says:
OpenGL vendor string: Tungsten Graphics, Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa
Debian is going to upload this version to experimental soon. I think
I'll wait for it and merge Ubuntu changes.

Okay, I finally figured out how to dump to a file. The
daemon/pavucontrol crash around line 538 which says

I installed Jaunty Jackalope on one of my hard discs.
I put three .jpg files in the Pictures folder and set screensaver to
rotate them (--).
The rotation started. The pictures continued to rotate. I did not find

Happy to report that the headphone jack now works just fine on my Toshi.
Was fixed in Intrepid and remains working in Jaunty. It should be noted

getting "no sound" from the jack, but instead the output was set to

back to gdm while user 2 still has a session going. When user 2 logs
in through gdm back to their running session.

Well, my computer prompted me for updates and this bug now appears to be
fixed.

I have the same question as Thomas. I see the karmic tag in the fix
applied. Why not make it available to Jaunty since that is where the
problem is?
Also, we've released Mapnik 0.6.0 which **ideally** should be the
package available in Karmic, if not Mapnik 0.6.1 (due out in several
weeks).

I just upgraded to Jaunty from Intrepid and I also lost use of my
wireless keyboard and mouse. It worked fine before. The "F" light on
the receiver just blinks at me. It actually works to select which OS I
want to use at boot, but then dies and never comes back. It is a M$ft

My problem is more like TMIT World's rather than the original post.
Here are my steps to recreate.
Double click on the file or right click and select play with.
The media player opens and instead of playing the file as expected it closes
without any error message.

I found it especially frustrating on the laptop when autofs tries to
mount shares that are inaccessible. It sometimes causes autofs to hang,
and long delays starting evince. A good workaround I'm using is to make
the .recently-used.xbel file immutable after clearing Recent Documents
in GNOME.
