OK, I have been educated by Seb and fixed the dependencies. I want to

The change don't bring any regression problem and is very simple as a quilt
patch. I tested myself in a pristine system with Jaunty and it build with any
problems or warnings. And

I doubt it can upgrade itself--that'd require root access to be able to modify
Azureus that was installed from the package manager. This bug has already
been marked as a duplicate of another bug though.
Let's get this addressed for Karmic, and have nis suggest nscd.
Since this is aligned with what Steve L and Mark B are happy with, we
can go ahead.

I got this bug with liferea on 2 PC with Jaunty 64bits where I installed
winbind. When I remove winbind, liferea don't crash any more, but I need
winbind to access to other PC on my network :/

I have just retested. I am positive that adding soft to the /etc/fstab
mount options fixes this problem. Nautilus DOES hang, but only for a
minute until NFS times out. Then you get an I/O error and Nautilus
starts working as expected again. In the mean time, everything else
works perfectly fine,
