I had to reinstall my system and with the new install the Outlook 2007
tearing problem had returned. I followed this guide

Firstly by replying to that bug in Debian probably getting the OK from
the security team that this new version isn't full of holes, and with
the current maintainer seemingly not around, it shouldn't be hard to
adopt the package get the new version sponsored through
mentors.debian.net. As long as
I got this error on Jaunty with kernel 2.6.28-13-generic. The computer
had worked flawlessly with everything from gutsy through Jaunty before.

Hi,
I got rotation to work properly so far, thanks to Timo's patched
xserver-xorg-core package. But now, the Stylus only works until the
first suspend (to disk) - resume cycle! After that, a restart of the
xserver is required to get it back to operation.

I cannot reproduce the freezes in karmic and I am not using any packages
from the PPA.
I think that the freeze said in the freedeskop bug is introduced with more
latest versions of the packages in the X stack. and the freeze in this bug
is a separate issue fixed by some other updates.

I experience the same behavior since my last update via synaptic. After
logging in my gnome freezes and i have to hard-reset my laptop. (not a
Macbook)
I was able to log back in to gnome by choosing a failsafe terminal
session and deactivating the gnome-power-manager startup.
Since it worked
Fix was released by Debian packagers in php5 5.2.9.dfsg.1-3.
So anything based on that or later version should work out of the box.

Is there a reason this was set to Fix Committed? I haven't seen any
upload of it to Karmic, however I see that the Debian maintainer has
0.9.4 ready which will probably get into sid soon. When that happens
it's probably best to turn this bug into a sync request or merge as

i want to point out that this bug not only causes inconveniences because
some screensavers do not perform as good as they could, but some
screensavers are outright broken.
the screensaver to show pictures from the user directory must be
configured before it can work for non-english installs

Hello,
that was single occurance.
I did not modify configuration file manually. I had no reason doing that.
So if something has corrupted my configuration file it had to be vlc itself.
If I can help somehow please let me know.

1. entering the .zip file in right tab
2. copy from the right tab to left tab (where my home dir was opened)
