Thank you for reporting this bug using the ubuntu-bug command. The
information included helps us analyze this bug report better.
To make the analysis easier, could you remove the file
.config/monitors.xml in your home directory? This is the file where
custom mode setting for your user is stored. I
Unfortunately the console text disappears before the lockup occurs.
The computer freezes with the KDE4 hourglass frozen in the middle of a
black screen.
Please advise on how to proceed from here.

After installing the r8168 module (v 8.012.00), I started having
occasional kernel panics upon resuming from a suspended state. I
thought the first one was a fluke, but recently they have become more
common. I'm reverting back to the r8169 module until a new version of
the r8168 becomes available
Sorry about that.
Now when I try to make tuxpaint crash, apport ignores it because the
problem was already reported.
I found the original crashlog, and I attached it as a zip file.

No worries about the apport confusion. I figured it out pretty quickly.
It's a PCI slot card (not hot swappable) and due to the lockup I can't
post debug info with it attached.
But I will try what you say to show the console messages and take a
photo. I'll upload it shortly.

This debdiff adds gnome-power-bugreport.sh output to apport's gnome-
power-manager script.
I believe it was removed since it uses HAL and replaced with "devkit-
power -d"
However, gnome-power-bugreport.sh is the upstream's tool for adding
information to bug reports, and they request that it is at
