When I went to bed last night my memory allocation for processes was
like 5%, when I woke up now the system was more or less non-responsive.

Is there currently a solution/workaround? This crackling is incredibly
annoying. I'm experiencing it randomly on Ubuntu 9.04, using default
audio (pulseaudio). Audio is 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation
82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03)

There are three cause the gconfd not making connection. 1. is a stale
slot, 2. that ORBit-2 does can not communicate over tcp/ip protocal and
3 there are multiple gconfd daemons running.
1. Test that there are no stale slots. The above responces give several

Got tired of the limitations of wicd and decided to dig deeper... here
is what I found:
So this is happening because NM tells wpa_supplicant to do periodic
background scanning (which apparently, wicd does not do). With ath5k and
AR5212 (at least), the scan is very intrusive, changes frequencies fr
I reinstalled the Brother HL-730 printer and then ran printingbuginfo
-u. When I printed the website for this beg report using Firefox 3.0.11
it printed junk as usual. The printingbuginfo output is attached.

I think I fixed it. Go to .streamtuner and delete all files in there.
Then launch streamtuner, reinstall streamripper and it works! The top
stream categories are still messed up, but have to live with that. Keep
your fingers crossed.
