I suggest trying easystroke for configuring mouse buttons. It works
differently than btnx, but it seems to get the job done.
I still have a working btnx in Jaunty but I think I installed it from

Sometime when my laptop wakes up after it has been in suspend mode, it
makes a terrible noise - and it is most certain that it is from the
harddrive.
Maybe it is from the spindown or so?

update manager will be replaced in 10.04 .
Synaptic is supposed to be replaced in Karmic.
But even, if not it would be unnecessary in the papercuts project, since
the Karmic 100 list is full and this would be considered

For the record I have confirmed this on 3 separate x86 and x86_64
hardware platforms,
3 clean 9.04 install both updated and from cd install,
one x86 and 86_64 on each platform.
Problem occurs on all 3 machines in all configurations

I can reproduce this on 9.04 with the 2.6.31-rc2 kernel from the ubuntu
kernel PPA:
When booting dmraid fails to set up the raid devices and dmesg shows
"device-mapper: table: 252:0: sda too small for target" and "device-
mapper: table: 252:0: sdb too small for target".

Just updated Kubuntu 9.04 to KDE 4.3 RC2, and the cashew image on both
the panel and the top right corner of the screen is missing, isntead
showing an icon with a question mark. The over-on icon of cashew is
there as it shows up once you
comment to my post @2009-05-25: Perhaps another driver was broken, too.
I have a really fresh install now and one and a half months of updates
went by. Dunno what happened in this time, but take my post from a few
seconds ago as status-quo.
