since my left-area concept share some ideas with gnome-shell project,
this one should be an optional in long-run. It depend on what a user

Well, I downloaded gphotofs from karmic repository (including
libgphoto2-2 and libgphoto2-port0) and now I can write normally ono my
SE C902 in nautilus.

I got the same problem, but it went as far as from 8.04.
Running screen in safe mode in 800x600 was my solution.
Now updated to 9.04 and still no 1024x768. If I try, screen goes bananas.
