No, I think you misunderstood, the drive works perfectly with Jaunty. It
only has problems under Karmic. In fact a gnome-vfs crash just occurred
and apport generated an automatic bug report with all kinds of trace

The situation is somewhat strange. /etc/init.d/rsyslog and
/etc/init.d/sysklogd both exist, but dpkg -l lists the corresponding

It is possible to display the graphics files by replacing the filter box
contents with *. Most of the time this will not actually let you
insert the picture though; the error box Unknown graphic format is
displayed after confirming the selection. In my most recent test this
happens every time. In
uh oh it doesnt use cdbs style packaging .. sorry for that assumption

With Karmic alpha it is no more possible to create a bootable USB stick
with persistent data (see Gnome menu System). This might be caused by
this bug. Such a stick is nice to demonstrate or test-drive Ubuntu! So
