I had the same problem with /var/logs/cups - setting cups to debug2 didn't
work, cups did not restart. in debug mode it wouldn't record any error. The
printer just freezes, by the way, it's every time now, I can't print from my
computer.
I tried plugging my printer into different usb plugs, but
I have the same experience with the VirtualBox-3.0 PUEL version from
sun's repository. With VT-x/AMD-V enabled, my Windows XP Pro virtual
machine is unusable. After I switch VT-x off, it runs well.

Since doing a fresh install of Karmic, sound has been working well on my
SB Audigy card and my microphone and speakers were easy to set up.

mpich2 just went out of NEW. I'm not sure yet whether it is correct, but it at

One difference I notice in the old vs. new logs is that there's no
mention of an /etc/X11/xorg.conf in the new log - so maybe the
autodetection doesn't work when you have an xorg.c

earlier today], mandos server & client 1.0.11-1build1, in a system
originally installed from the AMD64 alternate install (Linux

With the big release of 9.10 Karmic coming, I decided to install the
LTSP version from a fresh burnt install CD of Ubuntu 9.10
I got further out the door than trying to use it with 9.04 (which wouldn't give
me any internet for the server what so ever)
LTSP on Ubuntu 9.10 Beta at least allowed me

I can confirm with Ubuntu 64bit Karmic Koala Beta 2 that it is fixed for
me. I paired my Microsoft Wireless Lasermouse 8000 just fine on my
first attempt. I also rebooted the computer and it continued to
function just fine. I am very happy I no longer need to use the USB-key
for my mouse.
