I have the same problem. The log files are huge. I do not receive messages on

Seems like the problem corrected itself! I ran the command before
trying a new update/upgrade, just to make sure I got the error state
logged, and after the new update/upgrade things seem to have worked
out.
Did the same cycle on an older IBM Thinkpad and it worked without
errors there

There are two issues here:
1) PA isn't running with realtime privileges. You can change this if you
modify /etc/security/limits.conf, logout, and login. The web has
instructions (google://ubuntu studio pam limits.conf realtime).

This bug is still present in Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) and is not
linked to a particular keyboard layout or a particular keyboard
shortcut. However it only affects Gnome Terminal and no other GTK or
Gnome app.
What
This bug report's description is utterly confusing. Are you saying that
sound is completely inaudible or that only system sounds are not
working? If the former, please use apport-collect -p alsa-base 493127
in Applications Accessories Terminal. If the latter, this definitely
isn't a driver

Yes, I ran the package on karmic. I was able to successfully synchronize
my contacts from google to evolution. I had problems synchronizing
photos to f-spot, but I think that's a different bug.

I just re-read your comment:
The executable binary tries to open ( and save after work )
eagle.key in the same path as the binary is started from.
So if you copy the executable binary to /usr/bin and start
/usr/bin/eagle you will get an error can not open
/usr/bin/eagle.key,
and for example if

termination, and cpu consumption. So the program now works properly, but
still in System monitor there are two processes named tuxpaint and one
is marked as zombie..
