partition was full, and I was using a non-ubuntu NVIDIA driver do to
issues I had with the stock 8.10 nvidia driver and my laptop video card.

anymore.
On 8.04 (at least in my installation) it's very annoying (in this situations
task are unusable) but I don't think Ubuntu developers could fix this on that

I can confirm this bug in Ubuntu Karmic Koala.
In my case its much more serious - just pressing delete button, without shift
deletes file when in a rename mode.
Very annoying! Maybe its not Nautilus - the same is happening on desktop,
without opening Nautilus.

No, whatever caused it back when I reported, seems to have been fixed by
now. Haven't seen it in 9.10 yet and I doubt I will.

I get this in karmic, not lucid, with 2.6.31-16-generic. It went away
when I set power_save=0.

Hi. I had a similar if not the same problem. I stopped the grup-pc
install and rebooted. Then I got a message telling me to run manually: "
sudo dpkg --configure -a ". Then I rebooted again and I got my problem
solved. I'm not an expert at this kind of things. I hope it can help you
guys.
