Ok, i got this to reproduce. How can this possibly be a gtk bug? It
causes Xorg to segfault:

I have an upstart problem which might be the same as or related to this
one, on an Averatech 3280 laptop, running Lucid. This is described as
Bug #508456. However it does seem to be related to the openchrome and
viafb drivers.
The boot process often hangs up while the display driver is starting up

may be related to these display driver problems.
Current issues remaining are:
Unusable consoles - colored gibberish on the screen.
Starting up in graphics mode results in wrong resolution,

I get the purpose of these posts, but unfortunately I'm not so keen on

running processes from the cgroup in order to remove the folder.
view the tasks with:
$ cat /cgroup/ubuntu-lucid/tasks
$ kill -15
most processes should die, unless it was pid one in the container, then
it will need a kil

I can confirm that this bug is not lynx-specific. The same thing just
happened while I was editing a file in vim.
