The first thing I would try is removing plymouth. There are some issues
with plymouth that are causing gdm freezes and crashes. By removing that
we can figure out how much of your problems are related to it. After you

and some other bits over to the kernel so the ability to fix this by modifying
our xorg bits will not likely do anything in Lucid. That is the main impetus
for me asking about the verification on Lucid. The

I've got the same problem with hidden networks. anyone have a solution??
wicd also seems to be only supporting WEP for ad-hoc networks isn't that way
too unsecure???

upstart won't move out of runlevel S until lo comes up, lo won't come up
unless an upstart enabled ifupdown is present.
The hardy ifupdown definitely doesn't count :). I'm not sure what
version added the job, but that would be the one to depend

Binary package hint: mountall
mounted-dev.conf uses 'cp -n' which is not present in older coreutils.
It fails therefore, unless you upgrade coreutils.
I suspect 7.4 added it - which is karmic. Hardy which doesn't have -n,
has 6.10-3ubuntu2.
