GDM to load the login window with no luck, right know it just loads the

I don't know whether this is the same bug, for I'm running 32 bit Karmic
on a socket 775 EVGA motherboard. No sound through HDMI though lspci

I did that in the LiveUSB but it seems that the update-initramfs is
using the configuration of the read-only fs mounted at /rofs. So the
changes do not reflect
