in /etc/network/interfaces causing my wired network not to work. I had to

This doesn't appear to be a graphics driver bug. The symptoms suggest
that you're not running a window manager. The default window manager
for cards with 3D is compiz, which you seem to have removed at one

I have also experienced CDs reloading immediately after ejecting on my
10.04 beta setup.

I'm experiencing these same issues on my new HP 5310m and using the
above mentioned pci=use_crs has no impact.
I have no problems with wireless but have no ethernet unless it is
plugged in on a cold boot (A restart still results in no ethernet). When

I have similar problems with lucid. After a reboot, the desktop comes up
without panels. To get them back, I use function keys to invoke gnome-
appearance-properties & select the "High Contrast Inverse" theme. After
some futzing with the panel's "properties" location, I can finally get

I installed Beta 1 of 10.04 Remix on my Netbook that had a Computer name of
gordon-netbook.
Yesterday I reveived 300-odd MB of updates which I presume is Beta 2. On
restart the computer name is now gordon-laptop which conflicts with another
computer on the network.

Thanks Chris! After reading my previous comment, I see there was a typo that
makes a sentence have the opposite meaning than what was intended. Where I
