I've already been forced to do a clean install of 10.4, so I can no

I confirm this problem exists on the latest Lucid Lynx build on my Sony
Vaio VGN (using apple aluminium keyboard):
- By setting "switch to workspace on the left/right" to
XF86KbdBrightnessDown/Up it works just as long as the system isn't restarted.
- After restart the default Ctrl+Alt+Left/right
I'm running an updated 9.10 with 0.22.0+fixes22594-0ubuntu1 and still seeing
this bug on a clean install.
Changed the AVI player to "Internal" in the frontend and can now play AVIs.

This issue was solved when a new USB card was installed. The funny thing is
that somehow also the old card started working after that. Cannot explain???

Hi Jeremy,
I don't known if this bug has anything to do with Ubuntu.
I have removed Ubuntu and installed an older version of Ubuntu (version
8).
The problem still occurred, so I think there is something wrong with my
computer hardware.
What do you think?

The linux-image-2.6.32-21-virtual kernel package does not include the
ahci module:

have the b43 driver appear in jockey when STA is enabled.

I will, but please note that your link with latest ISO images contains
only i386 and x86 arch images, but my problem persist on to G3 Mac PPC
(PowerPC) architecture!

I'm afraid that I need a bit of guidance to test the mainline kernel.
Lucid has kernel 2.6.32-21-generic. The table linked from the wiki
has entries for 2.6.32-21.31 and 2.6.32-21.32. Not sure which is
appropriate. But they both point to mainline 2.6.32.11+drm33.2.

The Amazon MP3 downloader can be made to work in Ubuntu 10.04 (32-bit)
by simply downloading and installing the needed libboost 1.34.1 Jaunty
packages from packages.ubuntu.com. I also had to download/install
libicu38_3.8.1 from the Jaunty package archives.
