one of several broken packages left after attempting to upgrade from

How can I revert to the previous (pre-Lucid) behavior? (I have much
better connectivity through IPv6 than through a painfully NATed IPv4. I
assume this is fairly typical, in fact.) Is it just a matter of
uncommenting the following lines in /etc/gai.conf or will this have
undesired side effects?
Same here with Lucid-amd64 on ASUS M2Ne MoBo:
Jun 5 20:14:05 pp kernel: [6.600915] k8temp :00:18.3: Temperature
readouts might be wrong - check erratum #141
Jun 5 20:14:05 pp kernel: [6.740961] ata8: port disabled. ignoring.
Jun 5 20:14:05 pp kernel: [6.903379] i2c i2c-0: nForc
Is there any workaround to avoid this? I would be happy to get a stable
boot sequence.

I discovered a cause/fix for this bug. If I launch 'minicom -D
/dev/ttyUSB0' (or anything that will properly initialize the serial
port) prior to my program, it works perfectly and doesn't emits any
kernel messages.
So this bug is caused by invalid initialization of TTY device. Hope this
will help
RarSa: Yep. Finally got around to doing a clean Lucid install last
night, it was crashing after installation from the Lucid release, but
seems to be working fine now after pushing all the latest updates.
Awesome!

Emerald crashes when selecting themes. Ubuntu 10.04 (Alpha1)
https://bugs.launch
I don't have two screens so can't reproduce a crash that way. Apart from
the user-switcher app causing the crash, the only other time I've seen
it is after a normal (first user) logout - when X re-initializes it
just hangs using 100% CPU before the gdm login window appears.
