The error was not caused by trying to install that package directly or
by canceling the install. The only command I typed at the time was the
"sudo apt-get install eclipse" and that was the result. I did not cancel
the install as suggested by "interrupted by the user".

Good luck. I tried upgrading an existing system from 9.04 to 10.4 and
the system crashed bigtime. Apparently the problem was that Asterisk
was unable to read and parse some of the config files like
extensions.conf, particularly if there was an include statement in them.
Stick with 9.04.

Correction, the last kernel version that did not have this bug was -1,
and I am experiencing this with both -2 and -4. (Using -1 right now to
keep my sanity ;)

take nearly 2/3 of the display, and repeat once, sometimes twice about 5
