BTW mine crashes randomly. Sometimes gives me the same error as in the

I am encountering a similar problem. If Docky is running and I execute a
Mono app that I'm working on, Docky will go down and refuse to come back
up until my app is closed.

and fix the volume settings in alsamixer to get the mic to work, but it

I have stopped using the nvidia drivers and started using the nouveau
drivers and updated to Maverick but I'm still seeing this issue.
However, now, instead of seeing a "corrupted" screen on killing X, I see
no change, ie, X seems to hang. However, the same is still true, I can
switch to tty 1 and
eeepc 1000h. I installed both these kernels

I have reordered the displayed columns and I have deleted one of them.
When I restart deluge-gtk, it preserves the displayed columns and the order.
But when I restart daemon, deluge-gtk lost this.

It seems that just by removing (--purge) all the *8.71.dfsg.1-0ubuntu5
packages for ghostscript and reinstalling them fixes the problem.

Hi, I'm having this same brightness problem on my dell studio 1558 (intel i5)
on which i have installed ubuntu 10.04 i386.
The patches above are built for amd64 architecture. Does anyone knows if there
are any for i386 or if i can make the amd64 work in some way? Should I install

OK, new datapoint. With a new generic kernel and no wifi module built
it was stable with powertop. The second I built and modprobed the
module the machine would crash on powertop.
Going to look for a new version of the wifi module now.

+1 this bug is disconcerting and unavoidable for any developer using
Rmagick with Rails, which I'd imagine is many a developer.
That said, following Dominic's instructions seems to resolve the
problem, but also makes me nervous since I have no idea what side
effects it may have.
