Within gksu itself, you now get a message on stderr if the wrong
password is entered, but that typically won't be visible when it's
started by some other program. So this bug could be considered fixed in
update-manager, but arguably still open in gksu, depending on whether
it's considered to be gk

Public bug reported:
The OpenCV 2.1 package from
https://launchpad.net/~gijzelaar/+archive/opencv2 forces removal of
Lives http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/lives
Installing opencv package depends on libopencv0 and installing this is
what forces removal of the lives package on Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid.

X package or not, of the two workstations at my desk, the fedora13 box
has no problems (and uses nscd) and the ubuntu one does.
Reading here, I saw the libnss-ldapd suggestion, tried it, worked fine.

Well, whatever the issue was with Hulu, it seems to have been resolved on their
end. Hulu is up and running again and I have not experienced problems with
sound in flash since my initial bug. I went ahead and updated to Firefox 3.6.6
for good measure.
Thanks for the help,
Andy
