'Setting new software channels'. Manually installing/upgrading the
package from Maverick repository while the upgrade is frozen at this

I have the same problem as RedSingularity. The interface seem extremely
sluggish. Clicking, selecting, scrolling; it's all slow with a delay,
even the menus.

I can confirm the bug in Lucid Linx using Brasero, K3B and cdrecord from

Following up on my #18 post, I can confirm 2.6.34 still works fine after
24+ hours. This supports maor's findings as well.
I don't see /sys/module/drm_kms_helper/parameters at all in 2.6.34... so
was polling added in 2.6.35?
If not that, someone have time to git bisect 2.6.34 and 2.6.35 ? :)

One additional note: Some time before the system upgrade I did a minor
modification to the grub configuration. Apparently, the update process
wants to ask which version of the configuration to install. But due to
some unknown reason, the window manager is not useable at that time.

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10 from 10.04. Among many other things that
it broke, the most annoying one was suspend/resume. The laptop (Sony
VIAO VGN-SR53GF) doesn't resume from suspend. The disk LED does
constantly light, but nothing comes back on screen. It used to work
per
guess I was mistaken. sorry for the false alert.
