was conflicting. I uninstalled Samba comoletely and it works fine.

combination with SQLDeveloper from Oracle. I can work with it for hours

simple example is repeat of motion paths; an object's motion on the path is not
repeated.
(This was reported earlier in other versions of OpenOffice, LibreOffice and
Touchscreen is now working out of the box for me in 11.04.
Unfortunately the T91's have Intel GMA500's in them so the gfx
drivers/resolution/rotation/hardware acceleration/composite is broken
but thats a different issue (and has been like that for a while now).

It doesn't happen every time, but often if I close the lid and reopen it
on my laptop, the screen goes completely frozen. The mouse works, but
clicking anywhere or using the keyboard does nothing. Even the spinning
indicator on my Google Chrome window got stuck mid-spin.

Well, I'm not sure why it's not working with gnome-display-properties,
or if it's a problem with gnome or its window manager. I went into
fluxbox, used xrandr and arandr to turn off LVDS1 and leave VGA1 turned
on, and it works fine.

I've tried installing both nvidia-current and the downloadable version from
www.nvidia.com and the problem is still there.
I'm currently using the KDE desktop without effects.
BTW, I'm working with a MSI GeForce 7300GS.
