I'm not sure exactly what to do with that code. It's needed to handle
the case where the menu is open and has grabs so that they get closed
properly on exit. It'll cause the grabs to remain even when the menus
are closed. That's a bad thing.

We've had a development regarding this bug.
I applied a BIOS update for this Toshiba machine, in connection with bug
719620 which was also affecting this system.

The bugfix partly works in that way that my front headphones do produce
sound, together with the rear speakers (cannot have one or the other).

- the sound volume on the front headphones is very low (about 10% of max

So far so good on the mouse-only window management. It seems that as
long as I don't use the keyboard to move windows or change desktops,
Xorg doesn't segfault. It's pretty inconvenient though, since normally
I barely touch the mouse at all.

I encountered the same problem and fixed it by booting with a 11.04
(Natty) LiveCD (e2fsprogs @ 1.41.14-1ubuntu3). This should really be
backported into the 10.04 LTS livecd if possible.

Sorry, Lukas. I didn't see any btrfs mention nor in theme nor in
description except one line at fstab and doesn't consider this bug is
supposed to be related to btrfs somehow.

as well that can be used for dragging and dropping files from any

This is an upstream bug that has apparently been fixed, but the fix has
not trickled down to natty updates yet. It is a very severe crash that
locks everything up, so it would be nice to see the fix in updates. I

I still have a hang on reboot / shutdown even after installing the more
recent netbase (4.45ubuntu3) and dbus (1.4.8-3ubuntu2) packages on my
Kubuntu 11.04 laptop. I have four cifs shares defined in fstab. If I
shutdown or reboot, I see network-manager caught signal 15, then a
message about dbus,
