I have the exact same problem.
I have a fully updated Natty with fglrx but turning off mipmaps in the Expo
plugin does not correct the bug for me.
Just a few quick window switching arises the problem for me with many different
windows including pidgin, gcalctool, firefox, geany, chromium etc

Charles, I got everything to work with the files you sent me earlier.
But I'm considering moving to Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal); are all the
dependencies checked out there? I've been hesitating on the upgrade,
since once I got things working I didn't want to lose that status
again... :)

Found a workaround which I'm testing at the moment. Disabling the power
management on wlan0 by command:
sudo iwconfig wlan0 power off
seams to mask the problem for a while. Checking what impact it has on
battery life.

Andrey, in trying to reproduce the issue before sponsoring your fix, I'm

Under Natty run the following commands in a terminal window:

sudo /usr/lib/cups/backend/usb
sudo rmmod usblp
sudo /usr/lib/cups/backend/usb
sudo modprobe usblp
