It's not an UART problem but a system performance issue, which is caused
by the fact that SD driver lacks of card detection support. The card
present polling in SDHCI based driver is very expense, and impacts
system performance a lot. Adding card detection support solves the

After enabling the printer gs took 100% cpu for more than five minutes.
The document was sent to the printer eventualy, because it appeared in
the queue on the printer itself. I deleted it but i beleive it would
print fine after several more minutes.

I have found a work around on the Ubuntu forums for this problem, but I

Installation warning: unicode problem
Having similar Black screen issue when try boot with ubuntu after
installation completion of 11.04 version on HP Pavilion dm4 CTO-1100
laptop. But 10.04 works fine. Is there possiblity that Ubuntu 11.04
64-bit tries to install restricted graphics driver (AMD ATI Radeon HD
5xxx graphics driver),

Ubuntu still tracks the correct volume, which I can adjust normally via
the indicator applet. However, when I adjust the volume via my keyboards
volume knob, the indicator is wrong. The actual volume is still adjusted
correctly, however the notification (not the indicator)
