It turns out that Conky's FTBFS on kfreebsd-* was fairly simple to fix,
so I've uploaded Conky 1.8.1-2 to Debian; it is now ready to be synced
(I don't plan on making any further changes to Conky's packaging in

Searching for “文件” for “Documents” returns the “Documents” folder and 2
other documents named in English I just created.
See screenshot for reference.
There are 2 issues here.
First, it doesn't show all files and folders as I expected. There is also “文”
in the home folder n
I can confirm that the settings change in #22 does stop the crashes.

I created 1 new file named “通信传染” and 1 new folder named “通信传” on the
Desktop. Searching for “通” in the 'dash' (Super + F) returns 0 match. I
expect those 2 files should appear in the search result. Log out and log
in doesn't make a difference.

With xapian 1.2.5-2 on Ubuntu 11.10, I see using the same Chinese
character for search in the Unity dash returns relevant applications
including Empathy. By relevant I mean the Chinese character is in the
application names on Unity dash.
