If it's Avahi, indeed the .local domain problem is bug #327362. Colord
should really cope with it though, since the bug #327362 affects

installed on a primary partition, then I needed that partition and reinstalled

Unable to find the server at apps.ubun
I just noticed that if my system is up for a while, like say a day, the
longer it's up the worse performance gets. Once rebooted, performance
goes back to normal, but tearing stays no matter what. Maybe a memory
leak somewhere? The results are the same whether I'm running Gnome
Shell or Unity/Co
