a directory which the user you run this as can't write to. I suppose
that is what happens with your QRT mode? I'll fix this.

Kernel 3.0.6, gnome-bluetooth and bluez from Ubuntu repository and

ran the installer directly from the boot menu and it works. Alternate
installer also works. Going to try again from the LiveCD when I get home
tonight. I also tried burning a new copy and checking the media.

I have 2 machines running ubuntu and have upgraded one to 11.10. I rely
on bindfs and this dependency bug has broken my installation on one and
is preventing me upgrading on the other. This should be very simple to
sort out: Package 'Fuse' is not available in 11.10, so it should not be
a dependency
The bug is still here in Oneiric and unfortunately, it's now worse.
Before, the error message was just an annoyance, but now it apparently
kills compiz and leaves you with a very ugly looking desktop. Combined
with other bugs for nVida in a dual monitor setup, Oneiric is just about
unusable for me

I also got 0.75.2ubuntu8 installed and I tried switching screen-reader
and screen-keyboard on and off again. The result stays the same:
Synaptic is starting up and showing for about a tenth of a second just
to terminate again.
