So it turns out, its not only the run dialog but whichever every new
window/app does not gets focused. And if i go in openbox configuration
manager and in window tab, if i disable (uncheck) Focus new windows when
they appear, then it behaves correctly. The setting performs contrary to
what it says.

my former comment is totally wrong. sleep and hibernation work on 10.04
and 10.10 when the proprietary drivers are not activated (and the video
quality is really bad), but this walkaround does not work on 11.04 and

Hello,
Here's a reproducible test:
Open nautilus on virtual desktop 1 (nautilus is an example, this isn't
nautilus-specific)
Open another nautilus on virtual desktop 2
Open another random application on desktop 2
Switch back to the first desktop, make sure nautilus is focu
I have been unable to reproduce the issue due to bug 889532 which
prevents me from using Unity 3D with the proprietary nvidia driver, so
I'm not sure if it can be closed or not.
