The system dnsmasq in this case is Network Manager's which can't be as
easily configured as a regular dnsmasq.
The idea in this scenario was to use libvirt's dnsmasq to resolv the VM
dns and IPs and then use the system's dnsmasq for regular resolving.

2. Right-click on Nautilus launcher icon and select Documents, this opens

manager.

My appologies. I have tested kinit user@REALM in 11.10 WITHOUT
disabling preauthentication and it works just fine
kinit user@REALM in 12.04 WITHOUT disabling preauthentication responds
with Generic preauthentication failure
I will troubleshoot the kinit issue, and if sssd is still a problem

Printing any document using different apps I see the print job being
sent to the spooler and I see activity on the printer (light blinking)
but nothing prints.
Sample of document I like to print and the spool entry created will be
attached.

Well, the scanner works fine using 10.04.i386
I now think that it is not sane backend problems, these are well tested, it
must be a kernel/module problem.
I gave the scan1.log, and Michael Nagel has pointed out the important line;
there are also things in the kernel.log files,
