This has been pissing me off for some time, there are two possible
workaround I can think of:
- fix libasound_module_conf_pulse.so so that if an application is
running under pasuspender it does not load pulse devices into alsa.
I've implemented a rough hack so pasuspender sets the environment

It was tested that version 1:4.2.2-1 with other packages up-to-date in
Sid can work in Ubuntu Precise directly, so syncing this package will
require syncing other packages which versions were falling behind of
Debian.

No, the menus appear very dark, the hud does not work and they dont
integrate in the panel.

Edit. Fedora with Xorg 1.11 has working 173.14.31. So why can't we? Why
do we need to stick with 173.14.30?
