The change to the build flags solves the problem because hpcups and
pxljr rely on being able to override jinit_color_converter. I think the
fact that they're doing this points out a weakness in the libjpeg API -
there should be some better way to register a callback to change the
converter
debdiff for libjperg-turbo to fix the bug in Quantal is attached. I have
tested it with the Ghostscript command line from comment #26. The actual
printer is not needed to reproduce the bug and verify the fix.

Um, never mind about the hopeful comment regarding being able to move

Ah, after testing this further the problem was really a corrupted
config. Running rm -r ~/.config/vlc seemed to fix this problem for all
versions of vlc.
It helps, but after some launches of VLC the problem goes back, and I
should remove config again.

nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV

When I make changes in Edit/Account Settings and close the window, it
removes title bars and controls from all windows. The main ones are
still visible but do not function.
This affects all windows, not just Thunderbird, but is always caused by
the same thing. It happens

Empathy contact list window freezes even without account

Quantal amd64 had nautilus up in background and was keying in a line in
a foreground terminal session and couldn't understand why keystrokes
were being ignored - then I saw crash was occurring.

I downloaded and installed as suggested, both went witout errors.
Reboot started the system correctly, but I have NO wireless at all. I
am located within a metre of the router. That is neither 2.4GHz or
5GHz.
