I tried to build gnome-control-center 3.6 from upstream git with
jhbuild. I think that's something important because Ubuntu uses the
GNOME stack so Ubuntu users should be able to improve the software.

sun-java6 update 35
I updated depends and rebuilt

This affected me while i had seat0 as auto-login. Seat1 would get lightdm
greeter and seat0 would require ctrl+alt+F7
I switched it to seat1 being auto-login and now there is no need to do that. I
updated the MultiseatX page using my setup as an example. The relevant files
can be found there.

No, It affects my Acer laptop too. Gnome-settings-daemon crashes when
pressing Fn+left/right arrows, which in my case is the XFree86 key to
control LCD brightness. However Fn+up/down arrows which is for volume
control works normally. I'm working on Ubuntu 12.10, amd64.

Thanks for your patch: upstream seems to have also changed the error
message and the window, to be less confusing, so I'll amend your patch
to add that part (5 more lines).
Test building right now and testing then. I'll upload it after.
I assume this is not worth sending the patch to Debian

Ubuntu 12.04 and still here. If I take out the ; in the config file
(which now is in .config/gmameui/gmameui.ini as soon as I launch GMAMEUI
it reverts back to the ; terminated one (only on the samples directory)
