After some more investigations I can come up with this consistent
behaviour:
If I reboot the laptop of with bluetooth enabled, it will come up the
next time working. Working means the status is correctly recognized by
the Kubuntu applet and bluetooth is working.

as far as I can see there are two providers for local files, banshee and
rhythmbox that behaves like this:
Banshee:
(1) Loads whatever album art is available at the time of import and populates a
directory in ~/.cache/ with
album arts previews. This album art can be: (a) embedded in the mp3

I have a similar problem with a Logitech G400 mouse: it reproducibly
doesn't work directly after the boot, reconnecting always solves the
problem. The problem started to appear after the update from (Xubuntu)
Precise to Quantal.

Freshly installed Ubuntu 12.10 on my laptop (Vaio VPCEB2S1E/W with new SSD and
8GB RAM) and I have the same issues.
Dash is damn slow! Unity (desktop switching, animations, zooming in and out,
etc.) has no noticeable lag though.

I agree with ijk that evince should provide keybindings (customizable,
if possible) for as many functionalities as possible, and least for:
* navigating through the history,
* reaching the page number field.
