1) include .provider/service file in the packaging of the purple plugins
2) add a field in .service XML to tell which plugin to use, fallback to use
libservice-name.so as it does now
3) in empathy stop generating a plugin
Same here:
The menu appears in the app panel but dissapears when trying a mnemonic
like Alt-f. The keystroke results in no activity other than causing the
menu to dissapear.
Mouseover and Alt-f10 make the menu re-appear and function except for
the mnemonics.

Just to confirm that removing --extract-to=$(pwd) from
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/thunar-archive-plugin/file-roller.tap fixed this for

Debian systems do have at least local mail enabled and package mdadm

This seems to be fixed in Quantal (12.10). I didn't configure any
workaround and the brightness adjustment feels snappy after upgrading to
12.10.

I'm on quantal, and I tested installing the xfce4-settings package from
the 4.12 ppa. This had the same problem. When trying to map starting of
a terminal to Ctrl-Shift-X it got mapped as Ctrl-X.
