We moved our platform to 13.04 for other reasons and we stopped seeing
this issue due to a newer ovs release. I will try to find a system with
12.04 to test the proposed fix but I may not be able to do this

GPK, Apper and Listaller can all be synced, I think (if there are no
Ubuntu-specific changes - for GPK, the Ubuntu packages were a sync
from Debian experimental, so merging the new packages from unstable

O2 Micro Cardreader [1217:8221] does not
That's not actually the relevant error-state, but an earlier non-fatal
one. If you look in dmesg you can see when that first error-state is
generated prior to the hang and clear it with echo
/sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_error_state and then attach the error for
the fatal hang.

We moved our platform to 13.04 for other reasons and we stopped seeing
this issue due to a newer ovs release. I will try to find a system with
12.04 to test the proposed fix but I may not be able to do this
immediately.
