I'm using Lubuntu 13.10 on an HP G62 and also have this issue.
When mine wakes from suspend it comes back, then very quickly switches
back to a bash screen with a few lines that don't appear for long enough
for me to read, then goes back to whetever I was doing.

This happens to me on 13.04, at random, when trying to focus a new
window. Randomly clicking other windows will eventually solve the
problem, but usually makes a few others black and/or transparent first,
so it usually takes a number of clicks to eliminate the symptoms

I tried out a test kernel from henrix at
http://people.canonical.com/~henrix/lp1244505/v1/ which also exhibited
an oops. The stack trace was a bit longer with the top of the oops
scrolling off the screen, but it still contained the appleir_raw_event

Just guessing at the problem but are you launching eclipse from the command
line? If you are launching as root from the command line the eclipse.desktop
file doesn't take effect. This file is only for launching from the dash.
To launch from the command line with this fix type in:
env
