I just installed kubuntu 13.10, and ran into exactly the same failure. I
removed ALL texmf files,
and reinstalled from scratch. Same failure. Removed and reinstalled with
install-tl-ubuntu and get
the same failure.

worked perfectly on this machine.
When snapping windows to the right side of the screen using either mouse
or keyboard, any application's windows are not resized to fill up the

This is a pulseaudio issue, that seems to be fixed in pulseaudio 5.
However pulseaudio 5 will not be in trusty. I am going to take time to

Please cancel this bug report. I am currently using the version 1.4.1-12
from the Ubuntu automatic updates and the problem seems to have been
resolved (somewhere...). I think the main problem is that the Broadcom
driver is not the best.

somewhere, which results in stale information about the dash with
regards to accessibility used by the screen reader. I am able to trigger
a refresh of the information after using some of the screen reader's

I just had this problem. It looks like setperiodsize() is more like a
request than a command---the value you pass in is the requested value,
but the value returned in what the system is actually using. I assume
this is the fault of the underlying ALSA API. I did this to figure out

My minimum requirements test computer will not install the Trusty 32 bit
server daily ISO (I have tried 2013.11.25; 2103.12.02; 2014.03.18;
2014.03.19). It installs the 13.10 32 bit Server edition fine, and will
update from there to 14.04.

I have updated my bios to A17 (Latest Release) and have tried mainline
kernel. Mainline kernel breaks Wi-Fi while generic doesn't. Neither
kernel or Bios update resolved issue.
